Handling of goods

If vehicles for cargo handling cannot stop outside the road or away from traffic, the obstruction of other road users must be avoided as far as possible and the loading activity must be completed without delay.

If a vehicle has to stop for cargo handling where it could endanger traffic, e.g. on a winding mountain road, breakdown signals or warning posts must be set up.

Parking on the sidewalk is prohibited unless specifically permitted by signals or markings.

In the absence of such a signal, they may stop on the sidewalk only for cargo handling or for letting people in and out; a space at least 1.50 m wide must always be left free for pedestrians.

The loading activity and the letting in and out of the vehicle must be finished without delay.

“No parking fields” prohibit parking in the marked place. If the no-parking zone bears an inscription (e.g. “Taxi” or control plate number), letting people in and out and cargo handling are only permitted if authorized vehicles are not obstructed
