Handling of goods

If vehicles for cargo handling cannot stop off the road or away from traffic, they must minimize obstruction to other road users and complete the loading activity without delay.

Parking Regulations:

  • Sidewalk Parking: Parking on the sidewalk is prohibited unless specifically permitted by signals or markings.
  • Stopping on the Sidewalk: In the absence of a signal, stopping on the sidewalk is allowed only for cargo handling or for letting people in and out. A space of at least 1.50 meters must always be left clear for pedestrians.
  • Loading and Unloading: The loading activity and letting people in and out must be completed without delay.
  • No Parking Zones: “No parking” areas prohibit parking in the marked spots. If a no-parking zone has a sign (e.g., “Taxi” or control plate number), letting people in and out and cargo handling are only allowed if authorized vehicles are not obstructed.
