Driving one behind the other

The driver must maintain a sufficient distance when driving behind each other so that he can stop in time even if the vehicle in front brakes unexpectedly.

Abrupt braking and stopping are permitted only when no vehicle is following and in an emergency. If traffic is at a standstill, the driver must not stop on pedestrian crossings and, in the case of road junctions, not on the carriageway for cross traffic

Whoever follows a vehicle that has the right of way must maintain a distance of about 100 m.

Too little distance is the main cause of rear-end collisions. To ensure that sufficient distance is maintained, you can use the 2 seconds rule as a guide (The two seconds rule).
