Towing
Towing Regulations
- Towing Poles: Must be no longer than 5 meters.
- Towing Ropes: Must be no longer than 8 meters. The rope should be clearly marked in the middle.
- Prohibitions:
- Chains cannot be used.
- Metallic ropes are not allowed for motorbikes.
These rules help ensure safe towing practices on the road.
Towing Regulations for Motorbikes
- Condition for Towing: Motorbikes may only be towed if they are broken down. The driver must be able to release the rope immediately if needed.
- Maximum Speed: The speed limit for towing vehicles (including using a towing trolley or semi-mounted) is 40 km/h.
- Breakdown Signal: A breakdown signal must be attached to the rear of towed vehicles.
- Motorway Rules: On motorways, broken-down vehicles may only be towed to the next exit. The right-hand lane must be used, not the emergency lane.
