Green does not always mean “go immediately”. You should know these four cases.

Traffic lights – Swiss moped theory test

The 4 cases

Full green: you may go, but oncoming traffic and pedestrians come first.

Green arrow: clear only in the direction of the arrow; the others have red.

Green arrow + flashing amber: take care, pedestrians and oncoming traffic have priority.

Flashing amber only: caution, slow down – the normal rules apply.

Special rule for turning right on red: at intersections with a specific additional sign, bicycles and mopeds may turn right on red. Pedestrians with a green light still always have priority. Without that sign it is not allowed.
